Originally named “A day at the Races,” the subject of this tile was inspired by the hot air balloon festival that takes place each August in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As I cut the stamp that would become the basket for the final balloon (lower left corner), I had a change of heart, kept the prince’s head on the stamp, and 
re-titled the work. The dimensions of the tile are 12 inches by 12 inces.
